KT Freetel, Samsung, and Soft Teleware of Korea have teamed up with Indonesia's PT Infokom Elektrindo to establish a joint venture providing mobile services in Indonesia. To be set up in November 2004, the new company will offer value-added services such as caller information and polyphonic ring tones to PT Mobile-8 Telecom starting January 2005.

 

Of the US$2.2 million venture, PT Infokom will hold 49%, KTF 19.9%, and Samsung 19%, with the remainder going to Soft Teleware. The joint venture is expected to employ 30, with a 2005 sales goal set at US$1.5 million.
